History

IT Group Inc.’s traces its roots to the Management Information System Department formed to serve the IT requirements of a Philippine-based conglomerate with diversified interest in trading, distribution and manufacturing.  Back then, a need was seen to form a unit focused on serving the Information Technology support requirements, as well as the unit companies under its management portfolio.

In 2002, its officers saw the potential of spinning off the department into an independent company to serve the IT services requirements of a bigger and broader market. The following year, in 2003, IT Group, Inc, was formed and incorporated, reorganizing its products and service offerings to reposition itself as an IT solutions provider focused on meeting the needs of growing small to midsized organizations.

By 2004, two products were created: ITG Finance Manager, ITG Payroll Manager;

By 2006, the company acquired Ecommsite, a company whose primary business is in the creation web applications and content;  It was also on the same year ITG was appointed as the Philippine distributor of Adventnet products, today known as Zoho Corporation, developers of ManageEngine products;

By 2007, the company acquired QLinux, a company whose primary business is in providing Linux services and training;

By 2009, the company as appointed as the Philippine training partner of Red Hat Inc.;

By 2010, the company re-organized products and the resources into divisions, putting emphasize on practice areas:  ERP, KCRM and Web Services, ITSM and IT Training;

By 2010, the company was appointed as a Silver Partner of Netsuite, a cloud-based ERP software;

Today, the company has expanded its products and services considerably, in step with the fast pace of change in the environment and in technology. To date, the company counts among its clients a healthy mix of customers from the corporate, government, and non-profit sectors such as Unilever Philippines, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, ABS-CBN , Local Government Academy, Lopez Holdings Corporation, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., Smart Communications, Inc., Toyota Motors Philippines, Wilcon Builders Home Depot and many others.
