NetSuite – Manufacturing Suite Over the Clouds

Netsuite crafted yet another edition of cloud-computing ERP this June, now geared towards serving the manufacturing industry. 

With functions such as multi-site planning and management, material requirements planning (MRP), production management, engineering change control, shop floor control and work-in-progress (WIP) management, NetSuite dedicates this Manufacturing edition for mid-sized manufacturers. The Manufacturing Edition can also give comprehensive support for "multi-company, multi-plant, multi-location and multi-currency" enterprises. Integrated with NetSuite’s OneWorld SaaS ERP Suite Rootstock Software, a manufacturing software company built the new edition in NetSuite’s NS-BOS platform while the marketing branding is being backed up by NetSuite.

Equipped with an additional suite, NetSuite is now facing direct competition with SAP, known for dominating enterprise manufacturing software. In spite of tight competition they look into their advantage of ease of use and inexpensive maintenance compared to ERP vendors like Lawson Software, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics and SaaS provider Plex.
