History

With almost a decade of experience, IT Group has been instrumental in the growth of many small and medium businesses in the Philippines.

Though it was only in 2003 the company became known as IT Group, Inc., the company’s history dates back to 1995, when it was formed to serve the IT needs of a Philippine-based conglomerate with diversified interests in trading, distribution and manufacturing

Back then, the group was focused on developing simple DOS and Windows-based applications to automate and integrate the business processes of the different companies under the conglomerate. These applications included tools to automate the accounting, payroll processing, budgeting, and reporting functions among the different companies it was serving. After more than 8 years of continuous development and refinement, these systems have helped these organizations achieve a level of profitability, efficiency, resiliency and coordination that would have been impossible had they not invested early in technology.

In 2003, seeing a potential for serving the IT services requirements of a bigger and much broader market, the organization was spun off to be an independent company. That same year, the company became IT Group, Inc. In 2004, the company reorganized its products and service offerings to reposition itself as an IT solutions provider focused on meeting the needs of growing small to midsized organizations.

Today, the company has expanded its products and services considerably, in step with the fast pace of change in the environment and in technology. To date, the company counts among its clients a healthy mix of customers from the private, government, and non-profit sectors such as Asian Terminals, Inc. Unilever, Honda, Smart Telecommunications, Wilcon Builders and Supply, Toby Sports, Toyota Motors Philippines, the Dept of Science and Technology, the Department of Energy, the United Nations Development Program, and many others.
