With On-Demand hosting, we can get you up and running quickly, and we throw in maintenance and management as well. But ease of entry doesn't come at the cost of security. Our On-Demand hosting services offer a more secure environment because the data, services, and applications are hosted and managed in a secured, professionally managed data center facility.

Virtual Dedicated Hosting
A virtual private server provides the features of a dedicated server on a machine that is shared by other hosting customers. You can therefore get hosting services that are similar to that of dedicated hosting service at a fraction of the price but without sacrificing privacy or performance.
Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are based on the concept of partitions on mainframes that allow dozens of divisions to run multiple applications on the same server with advanced resource scheduling. In other words, VPS behaves exactly like an isolated stand-alone server that guarantees share of server resources, including CPU, memory and bandwidth. Applications are not shared across private servers which means that you can run different combinations of applications and even different versions of applications even if they are on the same physical server.
A few of the key advantages of the Virtual Private Server hosting environment are listed below:
- Insulation. Each virtual private hosting server (VPS) is completely partitioned from one another. A crash or lock up on one VPS has no impact on other virtual servers.
- Performance. Each VPS receives a specified allocation of CPU, memory, and disk. The environment allows for bursting within reasonable limits, but does not permit one VPS from dominating the physical server's resources. The result is that each VPS receives a guaranteed level of service.
- Security. Each VPS behaves exactly like a dedicated server, allowing the full security scheme to be utilized with absolutely no commingling of data among virtual servers.
- Control. Each VPS can be administered with total control of all settings using the powerful, yet easy to use control panel or via the command line.
Dedicated Hosting
Once a website or application achieves a scale where it is getting thousands of hits and/or is delivering services to mutliple concurrent users and transactions a day, it is time to consider other hosting options. Unlike normal hosting plans, which put many customers' accounts on a single server, a dedicated server is reserved exclusively for the account and usage of a single customer. This means that the dedicated server customer has exclusive rights to the server's bandwidth, memory and storage space; performance will not be affected by traffic and usage patterns of other customers.
When you purchase a dedicated server, you actually lease a server box, which will be configured and set up according to your preferences, but remains at our data center. A dedicated server account provides a dedicated IP address and full control of server usage and software installation, as you have admin (root) access to the server.

About our Software Appliance Solutions
IT Group packages and sells software appliances that are pre-built and pre-configured enterprise software applications bundled together with an optimized operating system or packaged as a ready to run virtual machine instance. Becase they are delivered as turn-key solutions, these software appliances are faster to deploy, easier to manage, more secure and reliable than traditional packaged software.
Softare appliances are also superior to hardware-only appliances. Unlike hardware appliances, we allow customers to pick their own hardware platform to run the appliance on. Use of Standard PC/Server Hardware
IT Group uses standard server hardware, typically from major manufacturers such as HP and IBM who are our partners. This offers considerable benefits, such as:
- Performance/Value for Money. The average desktop PC will have many times the processing power and memory compliment of most hardware-only server appliances. Office PCs have become a commodity, offering exceptional value for money.
- Fast Pace of Innovation. The rate of PC development and innovation is truly staggering, something that the major manufacturers have no option but to keep pace with. They have the resources to do so, whereas specialized manufacturers producing smaller quantities will often lag behind.
- Flexibility. RAID disks, redundant power supplies, add memory to boost performance, huge range of network interface cards, replace with an alternative unit - all these and many more are the advantages that stem from the use of the universal PC platform.
- Support. The major PC manufacturers can support their products virtually anywhere in the world, including rapid on-site repair or replacement if the customer requires. Alternatively, in most major cities there will be several computer support companies who could also support such big-name hardware. In contrast, the support available for smaller manufacturers' equipment is often limited to return to base repair.
- I need it now. We can download and install a software appliance, install it on a commodity PC or server and get it up and running in less than an hour!
- But I have to install the software! Yes - but it only takes ten minutes and then you have a great security appliance that is configured and managed from any web browser. Zero knowledge of Linux or any of the underlying software components is needed. The software can be installed from CD or from a USB memory device. Hardware detection is automatic.
