For each project engagement, we at IT Group assess your needs, then we weigh in the project constraints, recommend possible solutions tailored to your specific requirements, then assemble a multi-disciplinary team to fulfill those requirements. Afterwards we conduct follow-up sessions to ensure that project goals have been met.

Project Phases

1st Phase: Define

During the initial stage, IT Group's solution specialists will define the scope of the project, working closely with you to define project objectives, constraints, risks and expectations. Deliverables include:

  • Kick-off meeting
  • Understanding of requirements
  • Drafting of preliminary specifications
  • Preliminary time and cost estimate

2nd Phase: Design

A project manager will review preliminary specifications, draft a project plan, and if possible show a prototype or proof of concept based on the requirements you articulated. Deliverables include:

  • Technical specifications
  • Concept or prototype
  • Project plan
  • Project plan acceptance

3rd Phase: Develop

At this stage the project manager breaks down the project plan into specific tasks and deliverables and distributes it to the project team. Actual development or implementation is started. Afterwards comes testing to ensure alignment with specifications and requirements. At each stage of the project, project reviews are conducted with you to ensure that the project conforms to the original business requirements. Deliverables include:

  • Alpha - working/functional system
  • Beta - early release for customer feedback
  • Final release-final approved system
  • Acceptance document

4th Phase: Deliver

The final stage is actual delivery of the work product. Our solution specialists determine the right strategy for the operational deployment of the system you have asked us to develop or contracted for us to deploy, and then we conduct training to help you with the proper use and maintainance of the system. If needed, we can work out continuing service agreements with you.

  • Operational deployment/go-live
  • Training - we will also develop training specifications for users, operators. We also have to identify the training methodology (CBT, classroom, one on one) etc. We will also prepare and finalize the training materials at this stage.
  • Documentation - this is the stage where we create manuals, help documents and turn over papers
  • Project post mortem - review of project deliverables, results, lessons learned
